Heatwave Hitting SoCal

Southern California is feeling the first heatwave of the year, and it’s gonna going to get hotter, particularly in inland areas.

For Los Angeles, the 10-day forecast for Los Angeles is an increase, but nothing unbearable. However, parts of the Inland Empire are going to be another story entirely:

Los Angeles Forecast

With summer in full swing, there are plenty of activities to look forward to in Los Angeles. You can expect the summer to be as hot as it was last year, and maybe even warmer as weather trends have been reflecting extreme moves. Get ready to spend some more money on electricity.

Grilling Regulations Coming

Summer is a great time for grilling and other kinds of food but keep in mind that things might be changing sometime next year. Gas-powered grills are great but maybe electric grills will become more of a thing outdoors, as Los Angeles is hoping to achieve carbon neutrality. We’re still going to be the go-to city for summer fun and grilling but there’ll probably be more sun in the near future.

Desert Region Roasting

Despite things only getting somewhat hotter, other cities surrounding Los Angeles are going to have significant increases in comparison. Palmdale for instance is looking at some extreme heat for its own 10-day forecast:

113 Degrees Sunday In Palm Springs

Palm Springs is really cranking up the heat with its own forecast hitting triple digits consistently and even issuing an Excessive Heat Watch:

Palm Spring Forecast

There have been stories of people getting serious burns while on the pavement in Las Vegas.  Take similar precautions when out and about in Palmdale or Palm Springs. If you have a pool or some incredible ventilation, you can take advantage of the breeze that will roll in daily. It might not be too much of a respite from the relentless heat but it’s nice to be reminded that the weather isn’t all bad.
