Authorities sought the public’s help Thursday to locate a 19-year-old man with autism who was last seen in Carson.
Darrius Jerome Lewis Jr., who is also known by the nickname “D.J.,” was last seen about noon on Feb. 12 in the 1000 block of West Carson Street, near the Harbor (110) Freeway and the city’s border with Torrance, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Lewis is Black, 6 feet tall and weighs 170 pounds, with a black afro and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt and black sweatpants.
Anyone with information on Lewis’ whereabouts was asked to call the Sheriff’s Missing Persons Unit at 323-890-5500. Anonymous tips can be called in to Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477 or submitted online at lacrimestoppers.org.
