Arcadia High receives several local donations after hosting annual Orchestra Benefit Dinner
Arcadia High School’s 27th annual Orchestra Benefit Dinner (OBD) was held last Saturday at the Masonic Lodge, where the school held an auction in which local attendees were able to donate to AHS’s Music Club.
The OBD is the biggest fundraising event for the Arcadia Music Club. All funds raised go to the music education and the development of musical talents among AHS students. The dinner kicked off with a mixer and dinner in a soiree fashion in the open air on the parking lot, followed by the indoor Chamber Music Recital.
In addition to hundreds of Silent Auction items on display in the Chamber, there were roughly a dozen Live Auction items, including a “Front Row Seats at 2022 AHS Commencement,” a “Ride-A-Long with Arcadia Police Officer,” a “Dinner for 5 with Arcadia Fire Chief,” a “Conduct AHS Symphony Orchestra at the Pops Concert” and a “Lunch or Dinner with An AUSD School Board Member.”
City council candidate Jason Lee was in attendance with his wife. He was a Diamond Level benefactor after donating $1,000 to the OBD. Additionally, he was the successful bidder for the “Ride-A-Long with Arcadia Police Officer” item by paying $1,500 and was also the successful bidder for the “Lunch or Dinner with An AUSD School Board Member” item by paying $350.
