Art exhibition in San Bernardino County accepting drop-off entries from local artists

Victor Valley Museum, in collaboration with Arts Connection, The Arts Council of San Bernardino County, is accepting drop-off entries for the High Desert Open Arts Exhibition, on March 1 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. This call for artists is open to all artists in the high desert communities. There will be one wall specifically reserved for youth artwork from local schools.

Prizes will be awarded by Arts Connection in multiple categories for both youth and adult artists. A maximum of two pieces of art per artist will be accepted and there is no fee to enter. The exhibition will be available for viewing by the public March 5 through April 22. There will be an artist reception on March 12 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The San Bernardino County Museum’s exhibits of regional, cultural and natural history and the Museum’s other exciting events and programs reflect the effort by the Board of Supervisors to achieve the Countywide Vision by celebrating arts, culture, and education in the county, creating quality of life for residents and visitors.

The San Bernardino County Museum is located at 2024 Orange Tree Lane, at the California Street exit from Interstate 10 in Redlands. The museum is open Tuesdays through Sundays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

General admission is $10 (adult), $8 (military or senior), $7 (student), and $5 (child ages 5 to 12). Children under five and Museum Association members are admitted free. Parking is free. For more information, visit www.sbcounty.gov/museum. The museum is accessible to persons with disabilities.
