Pasadena Cultural Affairs Division accepting applications for grant program
Earlier this week, the City of Pasadena Cultural Affairs Division and the Arts and Culture Commission released the FY 2022-23 Annual Grants Program Applications and Guidelines.
The Cultural Affairs Division’s Annual Grants Program is intended to help fund diverse programming that benefits the greater Pasadena community and helps expand public access to the city’s art.
The four grant categories, according to the city’s website, are: Art and Culture, Arts Education Partnership, Individual Artist and Festivals and Parades. With these categories, the grant program is able to provide support on a multitude of projects, including exhibitions, theater performances, marketing promotion endeavors and so on.
Two technical assistance/grant writing workshops will be provided by the city for those who are interested in applying for the grant program. New applicants to the program must attend at least one of the workshops to be eligible to apply for a grant.
The first workshop will be held virtually on April 6, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., while the second will be a month later on May 4, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
A virtual workshop – known as the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Workshop – will also be offered to organizational applicants on March 8 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
The deadline to apply for the program will be on May 9 at midnight. To review and download the applications, instructions and guidelines, visit cityofpasadena.net/arts.
