

Authorities in Montebello investigated social media posts containing possible threats targeting Schurr High School and found them not credible, but extra officers will be on the campus Wednesday.
“Montebello Police Department is aware of possible school threats circulating on social media related to Schurr High School,” according to a statement from the city.
The campus at 820 N. Wilcox Ave. is part of the Montebello Unified School District.
“We’ve investigated these threats and found them to not be credible,” according to the city. “Out of caution, MPD and MUSD police officers will be on campus throughout the day.”
