This week, we lost iconic director Ivan Reitman. If you are still reeling for this loss, you may have spaced on some important news. Don’t sweat it cuz Mike Ciriaco is bringing it back to your brain with this week’s Deja News.

An arson suspect was charged in connection to the Whittier Fire.

A man who was found with burn injuries near the scene of a fire in the Whittier area that damaged six homes amid Santa Ana wind conditions was charged Monday with a series of arson counts.

Kevin Whitlock, 55, was charged with six counts of arson of an inhabited structure or property and one count each of arson of property of another and arson of a structure or forest, according to the District Attorney’s Office.

He is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday in Downey. He remains jailed in lieu of $250,000 bail, according to sheriff’s records.

On Wednesday, LA held a Rams Victory Parade.

Thousands of Los Angeles Rams fans descended on Exposition Park Wednesday for a raucous — and somewhat alcohol-fueled — parade and rally celebrating the team’s Super Bowl LVI championship.

The parade began at 11 a.m. at the Shrine Auditorium and ended a relatively short distance away at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, where a rally was held on the peristyle-end plaza outside the stadium.

But fans arrived hours earlier, scouting out prime locations along the parade route and in the plaza outside the Coliseum, where the Rams played from 2016-19 while SoFi Stadium was being built. The stadium was also the team’s home when the Rams arrived in Los Angeles in 1946. The Coliseum was also home to the first-ever Super Bowl in 1967, and Super Bowl VII in 1973.

Orange Country made a deal to avoid a bus strike.

The Orange County Transportation Authority and a Teamsters local representing bus drivers continued bargaining Monday in the final hours leading up to a possible strike Tuesday.

“We’re continuing to negotiate today and currently we are using mediators helping us through the negotiations,” said OCTA spokesman Joel Zlotnik.
