86-year-old man last seen in Acton found safe

An 86-year-old man who was reported missing Monday after last being seen in Acton has been found safe.

John Stratton had last been seen about noon but his last approximate whereabouts were not immediately known, and the California Highway Patrol issued a Silver Alert on behalf of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The CHP announced Monday night that Stratton had been found safe. No further details were released.
