Researchers found Covid cannot be transmitted through breastfeeding.

Researchers found that Covid cannot be transmitted through breastfeeding.

There is no evidence COVID-19 can be transmitted from mothers to infants through breast feeding, according to findings released Monday by UCLA researchers.

The study led by UCLA Health and published in the journal Pediatric Research found no evidence of SARS-CoV-2 transmission through breastmilk from recently infected mothers.

Milk samples from 110 lactating women, who donated to the Mommy’s Milk Human Milk Biorepository at the UC San Diego between March and September 2020, were used in the study. Of those who donated milk, 65 mothers tested positive for COVID-19, while nine had symptoms but tested negative, and 36 were symptomatic but were not tested.

Similarly, Cannabis was proven effective in preventing Covid infection.

101 Hemp, a cannabis store located in Ventura County, recently noted another promising new study showcasing advances in using cannabidiol in the fight against the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Listed on Science.org, “Cannabidiol Inhibits SARS-CoV-2 replication through induction of the host ER stress and innate immune responses,” comes on the heels of research out of Oregon State University that also explicitly concluded cannabidiol in the raw form (CBGa and CBDa – both non-psychoactive) can outright block COVID-19 infection in human cells and mice.

In a stunning conclusion, the new study’s abstract noted that: “In matched groups of human patients from the National COVID Cohort Collaborative, CBD (100-mg/ml oral solution per medical records) had a significant negative association with positive SARS-CoV-2 tests … a potential preventative agent for early-stage SARS-CoV-2 infection and merits further clinical trials.”

Guyton recently earned a Grammy nomination for best country album for her debut release, “Remember Her Name,” the first for a Black artist, plus nominations for best country song and best country solo performance.
