In its 31 years of existence, the Summer Opportunities Fair (SOF) has grown to be one of the largest camp fairs in the nation. It has become the trusted stop for families in the San Gabriel Valley and greater Los Angeles County to learn about summer programs.
Typically held on the Westridge School campus on the first Saturday of February each year, the SOF brings out more than 2,000 attendees to meet with over 100 local, national and international summer camp directors and representatives.
The event is free and open to the public and features food, games and a multitude of activities.
Although the in-person event has been canceled this year due to the pandemic, SOF is committed to providing this valuable resource to our community, even online. SOF developed a website devoted to summer camp and summer program opportunities that last year reached thousands of more families looking to plan their kids fun summer activities.
The website makes it simple to find camps by category and age for kids 5-18 years old. Listings include pre-college programs, community service opportunities and even a few camps for kids younger than five years old.
It’s never too early to start planning for the summer because it will be here before you know it. Visit www.westridgeSOF.org on Saturday, Feb. 5 when the summer camp/program listings go live.
Listings will remain on the website until September.
