The City of Monrovia is inviting residents to attend the city’s annual State of the City Address where Mayor Tom Adams and the rest of the City Council will come together to share some of the city’s accomplishments from the past year along with a first look at upcoming projects.
This year’s hour-plus-long address will take place on Jan. 24 at the LOOK Dine-In Cinemas located at 410 S. Myrtle Ave., and will start at 7 p.m.
Discussions that are often had during these events include potential improvements planned for Old Town Monrovia, new projects for several city departments and services, upcoming events that will be constructed by the Department of Community Services and more.
The city is requiring that all in-person attendees must be vaccinated and wear a mask. In compliance with the LA County Department of Public Health Order, guests will need to show proof of full COVID-19 vaccinations prior to entry to the event.
For those unvaccinated or who would like to watch from home, the event will also be live-streamed at cityofmonrovia.org/StateoftheCity as well.
