Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a 42-year-old homeless man whose body was found in a Sherman Oaks parking structure.
The victim was identified as James Wilson, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
The man now identified as Wilson was “known to live on the streets in the Van Nuys area,” and was found dead just before 8:40 a.m. Monday in a parking structure in the 5700 block of North Sepulveda Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Responding officers “believed there could have been foul play involved in the death,” according to the LAPD. Detectives were called to the scene, where they discovered the man suffered wounds “consistent with injuries caused by a vehicle,” according to a department statement.
Anyone with information on the man’s death was asked to contact LAPD Valley Bureau homicide detectives at 818-374-9550. Calls made during non-business hours or on weekends can be directed to 877-527-3247.
