San Gabriel police Friday were investigating the critical injury of a 16-year-old boy, who investigators say may have been shot.
Paramedics were sent to a residence in the 800 block of East Grand Avenue about 11:45 a.m. Thursday regarding “a medical emergency involving a 16-year-old male juvenile,” San Gabriel police said in a statement.
“He was transported to a local trauma center, where hospital staff discovered that the juvenile suffered from a possible gunshot wound,” police said.
The circumstances of the teen’s injury remained under investigation, police said Friday.
“The victim remains in critical but stable condition,” police said. “No arrests have been made at this time. The investigation is ongoing.”
