Police sought the public’s help Tuesday to locate a missing 48-year-old man who was last seen on New Year’s Eve in Boyle Heights.
Arturo Armando Mercado Garcia was last seen Dec. 31 in the area of East Fourth Street and South Lorena Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Garcia is Hispanic, 5-feet-8 inches tall and weighs 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue and yellow Golden State Warriors tank top and dark sweatpants.
Anyone with information on Garcia’s whereabouts was asked to contact the LAPD Missing Persons Units at 213-996-1800. Calls made during non-business hours or on weekends can be directed to 877-527-3247.
