An 18-year-old woman was fatally shot as she sat in a car in Inglewood with her sister and two other people, authorities said Tuesday.
The victim was shot at about 11:55 p.m. Monday in the 100 block of North Inglewood Avenue and died at a hospital, Inglewood Mayor James Butts reported.
Authorities withheld her name, pending notification of her relatives.
“According to the witnesses (there) were four victims — two females/two males — sitting in a car talking in front of 107 N. Inglewood Avenue,” Butts said in a statement.
A vehicle pulled up alongside the car and shots were fired, mortally wounding the 18-year-old woman, Butts said. None of the other occupants of the car was injured.
No description was released of the suspect or suspects, or the vehicle used in the crime.
