The Ford, which is one of the oldest performing arts venues in Los Angeles, will be presenting a showing of “¡Viva La Tradición! México de Noche” on Saturday, Oct. 9 at 8:00 p.m. PST.

“México de Noche” explores the energetic and eclectic music of Mexican nightlife. Whether it’s listening over a romantic dinner to a special serenade by the iconic duo Pepe Martinez Jr. and Susie Garcia, or walking through a plaza, hearing the all-string and all-female powerhouse mariachi group Las Colibrí, “Mexico de Noche” offers a wide variety of traditional music.

Produced in partnership with Colibrí Entertainment, who is the brainchild of Executive Director Susie Garcia. With a long career as a musician and a mariachi player herself, Garcia is ”committed to using visual and performing arts as a vehicle to educate and inspire audiences of all ethnicities.”

Other acts that will be on display include Viento Callejero — a group that represents the newest incarnation of the Latin music movement in Los Angeles — and Ballet Folklorico Ollin — a non-profit cultural organization with a primary goal to preserve and interpret the diverse cultural beauty of Mexico re-created here in California.

Single tickets for the event, along with tickets for the entire summer season at The Ford, are available from www.theford.com or at the Hollywood Bowl Box Office from noon to 6 pm PST, Tuesday through Saturday. The Ford Box Office opens two hours before showtime during the season.
