

Authorities Thursday identified a woman who was struck and killed by a vehicle in Pomona.
Ashley Vega, 29, who was unhoused, was injured about 8:20 p.m. Wednesday near Mission Boulevard and Dudley Street and died at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office and the Pomona Police Department.
“The pedestrian walked into lanes of traffic for unknown reasons and was struck by a passing vehicle,” police said in a statement. “The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. The driver of the vehicle was not intoxicated.”
