30-year-old woman reported missing in Duarte was last seen in September

Authorities Monday were seeking a missing 30-year-old woman who was last seen in Duarte.

Cashawn Ashley Sims, who also goes by the nickname “Cookie,” was last seen on Sept. 8 in the 2100 block of Broach Avenue, near the border with Irwindale, according to Deputy Eva Jimenez of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

Sims is Black, 5 feet, 1 inch tall and weighs 120 pounds, with black shoulder-length hair and brown eyes. She also has tattoos of the phrase “It’s found in the soul” on her left collarbone, the word “Earth” on her left forearm and a tattoo of Spanish writing on her back.

Anyone with information on Sims’ whereabouts was asked to call the Sheriff’s Missing Persons Unit at 323-890-5500. Anonymous tips can be called in to Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477 or submitted online at lacrimestoppers.org.
