Hit-and-run leaves pedestrian injured; driver sought by Glendale police

A pedestrian was severely injured in a hit-and-run in Glendale Friday and police were searching for the driver.

The pedestrian was struck at about 12:10 a.m. Police said a vehicle being driven west on East Chevy Chase Drive struck the pedestrian, who was crossing the street at Glenmore Boulevard.

The motorist fled the scene traveling west on East Chevy Chase Drive and possibly turned onto East Glenoaks Boulevard, police said.

The pedestrian was taken to a hospital in unknown condition.

The vehicle was described as a silver or gray 2019 to 2020 Kia Forte, which should have severe damage to its front end, according to the GPD.
