Deputies seek public’s help finding 29-year-old man last seen in La Mirada

Authorities Wednesday were searching for a missing 29- year-old man with schizophrenia and who was last seen in La Mirada.

Jarrod Akaiya Padilla was last seen at about 2 a.m. Tuesday in the 15500 block of Calverton Drive, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department statement.

Padilla is Hispanic, 5-feet-10 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds, with brown eyes, brown hair and a beard. He was last seen wearing a red long- sleeve shirt, blue jeans and a blue Los Angeles Dodgers hat.

Anyone with information on Padilla’s whereabouts was asked to contact the LASD Missing Persons Unit at 323-890-5500. Anonymous tips can be called in to Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477 or submitted online at lacrimestoppers.org.
