A magnitude 4.4 earthquake struck in Carson at 7:58 p.m., the Caltech Seismological Laboratory reports.
Reports of shaking were felt across Southern California in the San Fernando Valley, Antelope Valley, Ventura County, and Orange County, according to the USGS.
