Authorities Thursday identified a man who was fatally shot in the Westmont area of unincorporated Los Angeles County, and continued their efforts to find the gunman.
The shooting was reported about 9 a.m. Wednesday in the 1700 block of West 111th Street, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Craig Batiste, 54, of Los Angeles died at the scene, the Los Angeles County coroner’s office reported.
No arrests have been reported. The suspect was described only as a man who drove a black sedan.
