LASD arrests armed, barricaded suspect in Bellflower

A suspect armed with a deadly weapon was in custody Thursday after a standoff of more than five hours with deputies in Bellflower.

Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Special Enforcement Bureau were called at 4:57 p.m. Wednesday to the 9400 block of Pacific Avenue regarding reports of a person armed with a deadly weapon, said Deputy Tracy Koerner.

The suspect was taken into custody around 10:33 p.m. Wednesday, Koerner said.

No further information was immediately available.
