An armed man was taken into custody Tuesday following a police search in Woodland Hills, authorities said.
Los Angeles Police Department officers were called to the 6400 block of Winnetka Avenue at about 12:45 p.m. after receiving a report of a man armed with a gun, according to Officer Rosario Cervantes.
Officers did not locate the man upon arrival and set up a perimeter in the area to search for him. Traffic was routed away from the area as police conducted the search.
The man was eventually found and taken into custody, Cervantes said. Police were still at the scene as of 2:45 p.m, though there were no outstanding suspects.
No shots were fired during the incident.
