A 2-year-old girl was fatally injured when she was struck by a vehicle in a driveway in Alhambra Wednesday.
Alhambra Police Department officers were called just before 10:40 a.m. to a condominium complex in the 2200 block of Larch Street and found the girl in the driveway suffering from “major injuries,” according to a department statement.
Officers performed life-saving measures until paramedics arrived and took the girl to a hospital, where she died of her injuries. Her name was not released.
The driver of the car remained at the scene following the accident and was cooperating with investigators, police said.
The girl’s parents “were in the immediate area” at the time of the incident, though no further details were released.
