Arcadia announced three new events for kids and seniors. The events consist of bingo, a Western Hoedown, and a library sale.
The Children’s Bargain Book Sale at Arcadia Public Library takes place at 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 14. This sale is sponsored by the Friends of the Arcadia Public Library. The sale will have different types available for sale including chapter books and picture books. Many popular children’s books will also be available.
The book sale will also kick off the library’s expanded hours. Starting Monday, Aug. 16, the Arcadia Public Library will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Mondays through Thursdays, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. The Western Hoedown event will be a drive-through luncheon hosted by the Arcadia Senior Services. This event will cost $10 and take place at 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 17, 2021. It will take place under the porta cochere at the Arcadia Community Center, 365 Campus Drive, Arcadia. This event is for individuals age 50 and over. Registration is available at the Arcadia Community Center or on-line.
Another event that is for seniors is BINGO, which will be at 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 1, 2021. The event is hosted by the Arcadia Senior Services at the Arcadia Community Center, 365 Campus Drive, Arcadia. The cost for this event is $10 and includes an 8 pack of BINGO cards.
The winners will receive gift cards and there is a $50 prize for the final game. This program is for individuals age 50 and over. Registration is available at the Arcadia Community Center. For additional information, you can call Arcadia Senior Services at 626.574.5130.
