A woman who operated a fortune teller and psychic business in Woodland Hills was sentenced Tuesday to two years’ formal probation for stealing thousands of dollars from clients.
Melissa Lori Lee, 32, was also ordered not to operate her fortune-telling business during the period of probation, court officials said.
Lee previously pleaded no contest to one felony count of grand theft and agreed to pay restitution to eight victims named in the criminal case.
Lee stole the money between January 2014 and June 2015 from clients of her fortune-telling business in the 5200 block of Topanga Canyon Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
She was charged in January 2017 with four felony counts of grand theft of personal property.
