

A man was shot and killed in South Los Angeles late Wednesday afternoon.
The shooting was reported at 4:06 p.m. in the 8300 block of Figueroa Street, according to Officer Jader Chaves of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Division.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. He was reported to be between 25 and 30 years old, but his name was not immediately released.
Police could not immediately confirm whether a suspect was taken into custody, but video from the scene showed at least four people apparently being detained.
