Arcadia summer concert and movie in the park series returns this August

The City of Arcadia will be offering two free 2021 summer concert and movie series on Thursday evenings this August. 

The concerts start at 6:30 p.m. and movies at dusk on the west lawn between City Hall and the Police Department (240 W. Huntington Drive). In addition to concerts and movies, there will be a fun zone for kids, featuring games, crafts, and activities each week. In addition, there will be food and beverages available for purchase.

Parking is provided at City Hall and Santa Anita Race Track at Gate 5 only. For more information, call (626) 574-5113. Below is the line-up for this summer.

Concert: Cold Duck (70s top 40) celebrate Arcadia’s 118th birthday

Since its inception over two decades ago, Cold Duck’s philosophy has been “Give the people what they want to hear and have a good time delivering it!” With this solid experienced musicianship, it should come as no surprise that Cold Duck is renowned for being one of the most versatile bands in existence.

Movie: “The Croods: A New Age” (PG)

The prehistoric family is in need of a new place to live, leading them into the world searching for a safer place to call home. The plot will show the first family encountering new people and exploring new territories as they leave their cave for the first time.

Concert: The Answer (Classic Rock)

Since 1964, The Answer has been supplying its renditions of top 40 classic rock hits. With stage energy, witty antics, and free giveaways, The Answer delivers a show of classic rock.

Movie: “Raya and the Last Dragon” (PG)

Five long centuries after the selfless sacrifice of the magical dragons, the once-peaceful land of Kumandra, where humans lived harmoniously alongside the mystical creatures, is in disarray, divided into five nations. With warring factions, distrust, and the unstoppable menace of the Druun wreaking havoc on Kumandra, Raya, the sword-wielding Princess of Heart, and fearless Guardian of the Dragon Gem, embarks on a peril-laden quest to track down a benevolent mythical being and heal the land. Will Raya find mighty Sisu, the last dragon?
