Young, Creative Business Celebrates 7-Year Anniversary

Owned and operated by exceedingly enthusiastic mother/daughter team Jeanette C. Beraha and Raquel McLaughlin, Vintage Treasures & Antiques Arcadia is about to celebrate its first anniversary with a New Business award from Arcadia Chamber of Commerce.

Vintage Treasures & Antiques Arcadia, which opened in May 2014, is heavily involved in the community: “It’s been a great to open up a small business in Arcadia. We carry a bit of history here. For example, many customers say that they remember seeing these items we’re selling in their grandmother’s house!”

Raquel McLaughlin told us Vintage Treasures has a large and extensive collection of vintage hats. “Women just love vintage hats, especially for the races,” McLaughlin laughed.

Their collection includes some eclectic, unique and, most of all, amazing array of vintage items. They also specialize in antique furnishings, vintage clothing, and costume jewelry.
Raquel and Jeanette’s long-life dream was to start a business about incorporating their creativity and their passion for re-purposing. This they have accomplished.

The other business aspect that makes this store unique is that the mother-daughter team is not out to sting you with excessive prices. “We know people are looking and buying on eBay, craigslist … people want deals and we’ve got them,” said McLaughlin.
Vintage Treasures & Antiques is located at 340 East Foothill Blvd., Arcadia. They are open Monday to Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Closed on Sundays. You may reach them at (626) 437-7905.
