Missing 83-year-old man with diabetes was last seen in Lancaster

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Thursday is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 83-year-old man with diabetes last seen in Lancaster.

Floyd Tonkins was last seen at 5 p.m. Wednesday in the 44000 block of 15th Street West, according to Deputy Tracy Koerner of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

Tompkins is Black, 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighs 155 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen with a purple walker, and is insulin dependent.

Anyone with information was asked to contact the LASD’s Missing Persons Unit at 323-890-5500. Anonymous tips can be called in to Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS or submitted online at lacrimestoppers.org.
