Santa Ana police Wednesday arrested a man suspected of stealing a wallet at a doughnut store and attacking the victim.
The robbery occurred about 9:30 p.m. June 12 at the Donut Star at 404 N. Grand Ave., police said.
The victim made a purchase and placed his wallet on the counter and the suspect grabbed and ran away, police said. The victim then chased the suspect and caught him a short distance away and the suspect physically assaulted him, according to police.
The suspect made a purchase shortly after the robbery and was captured by surveillance video.
Police said the suspect — identified as 30-year-old Jose Adolfo Rodriguez — was arrested Wednesday afternoon.
