A person is in custody Friday after a traffic stop in Norwalk turned up a loaded, unregistered handgun, authorities said.
Deputies stopped a vehicle about 7 p.m. Thursday at Funston Avenue and Walnut Street and discovered a passenger in the vehicle had a loaded handgun, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Norwalk Station.
It was not immediately known why the vehicle was stopped.
