Man shot in Whittier area, shooter remains at large
A man is hospitalized Friday after being shot in the Whittier area, and the shooter is large.
Deputies responded at 9:10 p.m. Thursday to reports of a gunshot victim in the area of 11100 block of Rosehedge Drive, said Lt. Anthony Geisbauer of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Pico Rivera Station.
Deputies found a man with a gunshot wound to the upper chest area, and the man was taken to a hospital, said Geisbauer.
“We left some of our investigators at the scene to see if this shooting was gang-related,” Geisbauer said.
The victim’s condition was not immediately known, and deputies were investigating.
