A woman was under arrest Thursday in Norwalk for lighting a mattress on fire, authorities said.

Deputies responded to a call at 12:20 a.m. at the intersection of Clarkdale Avenue and Sproul Street regarding a structure fire, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department‘s Norwalk station.

But once on scene, deputies determined that only a mattress outside the structure was on fire.

The woman deputies believe is responsible for starting the fire was arrested on an arson charge, sheriffs deputies said.

Her name was not immediately released.
