The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Tuesday sought the public’s help to locate a 25-year-old man suspected of stabbing his girlfriend to death in an unincorporated area of Compton.
Authorities found Daisy Delao, 19, suffering from stab wounds in an alleyway in the 1400 block of Long Beach Boulevard on Feb. 23. She was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Deputy Eva Jimenez of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
Investigators identified Delao’s boyfriend, Victor Hugo Sosa, as the suspected stabber. They said he fled the scene before authorities arrived.
No motive was provided for the stabbing.
Sosa is 5-feet-6 inches tall and 130 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He is also known to use a skateboard and public transportation to travel.
The LASD advised the public that Sosa “should be considered armed and dangerous” and asked anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact the department’s Homicide Bureau at 323-890-5500. Anonymous tips can be called in to Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477 or submitted online at lacrimestoppers.org.
