

A man believed in his 30s was shot and killed Sunday in Compton.
The shooting was reported at 12:41 a.m. at Wilmington Avenue and Artesia Boulevard, according to Deputy Tracy Koerner of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
Deputies were called to respond to a traffic collision and they found the motorcyclist on the ground.
“It was discovered the male victim sustained gunshot wounds.,” Koerner said.
Paramedics took the victim to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, Koerner said.
Homicide detectives conducted a crime scene investigation, he said.
A description of the suspect or the suspect’s vehicle were not available and the weapon used was still outstanding, according to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department.
