Standoff in Studio City area ends in arrest of barricaded assault suspect

Police Tuesday arrested an assault suspect who barricaded himself in a vehicle in Studio City.

Officers went to 12900 block of Valleyheart Drive about 2:30 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The suspect was taken into custody shortly before 7 a.m., according to KNX1070. His name was not immediately available.
