Pasadena, Los Angeles County and Glendale firefighters battled and extinguished a one-acre brush fire in the hills near the Art Center on the 1700 block of Lida Street.
The fire was first reported around 9 a.m. Thursday and by 9:26 a.m. personnel had “a good handle on the hot spots” of the slow-moving fire, Pasadena Fire said. The fire was put out just before 11 a.m.
The accidental fire was caused by sparks from construction workers cutting material, the Pasadena Fire Department said.
No structures were damaged and no injuries were reported.
