

A man was shot to death at a convenience store in South Los Angeles Thursday.
The man entered the store in the 6200 block of South Figueroa Street, near Gage Avenue, at about 12:25 p.m. and was followed by a male suspect who shot him in the head and fled, said Los Angeles Police Department Officer William Cooper.
The victim, whose name was not immediately released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
There was no word on a possible motive.
