

A man was shot and killed Wednesday morning in the Westlake District.
Officers responded about 1:20 a.m. to the 1900 block of Third Street, near Alvarado Street, and found the victim, who was described as 18 or 19 years old. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
A preliminary investigation determined two suspects approached the victim and one opened fire before both suspects ran off, police said.
The name of the victim was not disclosed.
A detailed description of the suspects was not immediately available.
