A man was shot and killed Tuesday evening in La Puente, according to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies responded about 8:50 p.m. to an area near the intersection of Amar Road and Del Valle Avenue where they located the victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Deputy Tracy Koerner of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
A motive for the shooting and description of the shooter were not immediately available.
The name of the victim was not disclosed. An active investigation is underway into the killing.
