A 50-year-old man diagnosed with bipolar disorder who was last seen near his home in Hawaiian Gardens has been found, authorities announced Wednesday.

Armando Chavez was last seen at about 8 a.m. Monday in the 21700 block of Elaine Avenue, between Norwalk and Pioneer boulevards, near Carson Street, and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department sought the public’s help to find him.

The LASD announced at 2:05 p.m. Wednesday that Chavez had been found. No further details were released.
