

Sheriff’s deputies asked for the public’s help early Thursday in the search for an 84-year-old woman suffering from dementia last seen in the unincorporated San Gabriel Valley community of Valinda.
Lou Ella Houston was last seen around 5 p.m. Wednesday in the 14700 block of Homeward Street, Deputy Eric Ortiz said of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau said.
Houston is Black, 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs about 105 pounds, Ortiz said. She has brown eyes and gray hair. She was last seen wearing a black sweater with multi-colored squared pattern, purple sweats, a pink hat, black shoes and a multi-colored bead necklace.
Anyone with information on her whereabouts was asked to call the Sheriff’s Missing Persons Unit at 323-890-5500. Tipsters can also call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.
