Authorities today identified a man who was fatally struck by a Metro E Line train in the Culver City area.

Officers were sent to Exposition Boulevard and Bagley Avenue just before 1 p.m. Thursday on reports of a pedestrian hit by a train, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Luis Yac Yax, 42, of Los Angeles, died at the scene, the Los Angeles County coroner’s office reported.

Train service was interrupted in the area for about three hours while an investigation was conducted.
