

A man died this morning in a gang-related shootingin the unincorporated Willowbrook area of Los Angeles County.
He was later identified as 30-year-old Deandre Gates of Los Angeles, according to coroner’s Lt. David Smith.
Deputies responded at 2:15 a.m. to the 12100 block of South Main Street and located Gates, who was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Deputy Maria Lucero of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The shooting appeared to be gang related and authorities had no suspect information.
Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau detectives urged anyone with information regarding the homicide to call them at 323-890-5500 or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.
