Virtual March Presentations for Arcadia Seniors

The Recreation and Community Services Department, Senior Services Division is offering three free informative virtual presentations in March.

On Friday, March 19 at 10 a.m., “Legal and Financial Planning” will be presented by Alzheimer’s LA. An elder law attorney will discuss how legal and financial planning can be complex and feel over whelming. He will share expert advice about what decisions you can make and what paperwork you need to complete to be prepared including: wills, trusts, advanced directives and powers of attorney.

On Friday, March 26 at noon, Methodist Hospital’s Dr. Dana Pan, a gastroenterologist, will discuss what you need to know about stomach issues. Pan will talk about diseases of the “lower track,” colorectal screenings, GERD, peptic ulcer disease, and irritable bowel syndrome. 

On Tuesday, March 30 at 10 a.m., California Health Advocates will discuss COVID-19 and healthcare fraud. Some of the topics are: COVID-19 investment scams, learning how charitable giving scams work, healthcare scams and fraud.  

If you are interested in learning about these programs but do not have a computer there is a dial-in option. All individuals must pre-register by calling Arcadia Senior Services at (626) 574-5130 at least one day prior to the presentation. Participants will be asked to provide an email address if available.
