One Person Killed, Two Injured in Arcadia Car Crash

On Sunday at about 11:37 p.m., officers responded to the area of Las Tunas Drive and El Monte Avenue regarding a solo vehicle traffic collision.

Based on the initial investigation, it appears the vehicle was traveling east on El Monte Avenue near Las Tunas Drive. The vehicle left the roadway and struck two power poles and a flood control fence before coming to a rest. Officers found the driver of the vehicle deceased and two passengers with minor injuries. Both passengers were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Arcadia Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating. Southern California Edison is on scene working to repair the power poles.
