Grocery Outlet Bargain Market opened its newest location Thursday at 140 E. Live Oak Ave. in Arcadia, creating 30 new jobs in the community.
Grocery Outlet stores are independently operated by local families. “We are overjoyed to be a part of the Arcadia community and be able to provide big savings on quality groceries,” said Chris Phillips and Amanda Sandoval. “This partnership with Grocery Outlet gives us the ability to grow our business, create new jobs and more importantly, give back to our local community.”
Phillips and Sandoval presented a donation of $1,000 that will be split between Our Savior Center and the Arcadia Chamber of Commerce’s Arcadia Strong Program. Our Savior Centers is a food pantry serving 14,000 individuals annually with access to healthy food options, fresh produce, and access to healthy cooking classes, serving the Arcadia, Monrovia, El Monte, and Pasadena areas. The Arcadia Chamber of Commerce’s Arcadia Strong Program helps small businesses maintain their chamber membership and benefits for those struggling financially.
Grocery Outlet is an “extreme-value grocery retailer” that “offers the same trusted brands as traditional grocery stores, but at lower prices.”
