Jan. 24
At 8:11 a.m., an officer noticed one of the windows to Lohas Fresh Mart, located at 1304 S. Baldwin Ave., had been damaged. The officer concluded an unidentified suspect had thrown a rock through the window, but it doesn’t appear as though they entered the business. The investigation is pending a review of any available surveillance footage.
At 9:58 a.m., an officer took a report of a mail theft incident that occurred in the 200 block of Arbolada Drive. The victim reported her mailbox was damaged and mail had gone missing. There are no investigative leads as of the date of this report.
At 3:45 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 300 block of Fairview Avenue regarding a burglary report. Surveillance footage revealed the victim’s patio furniture had been moved and the rear window was smashed. After viewing the video, it does not appear the suspects entered the home. The suspects are described as two suspects seen wearing hooded sweatshirts and pants.
Jan. 25
At 9:39 a.m., an officer responded to a residence under construction in the 2100 block of Canyon Road regarding two suspicious subjects seen entering the construction site. Officers located the suspects and determined they were not authorized to be at the location. The suspects, a 48-year-old male from Azusa and a 39-year-old female from Monrovia, were arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
Jan. 26
At 8:27 a.m., an officer responded to the 1400 block of Green Oaks Drive regarding a stolen vehicle report. The victim left his unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway with the keys inside. The vehicle was stolen sometime between Jan. 25 at 5 p.m. and Jan. 26 at 8:15 a.m.
At 2:26 p.m., an officer responded to Le Spa by Sophie, located at 314 N. First Ave., regarding a suspicious subject report. Surveillance footage captured a male suspect attempting to open the rear door by manipulating the lock with a pick. The suspect was unsuccessful and fled empty-handed. He is described as a black male seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark colored cargo pants, black shoes, and seen carrying a black backpack.
At 8:57 p.m., an officer responded to the 00 block of North Santa Anita Avenue regarding a vehicle burglary report. The officer determined an unknown suspect tampered with the victim’s door lock and ultimately fled with paperwork and miscellaneous toys. The incident was not captured by surveillance cameras.
Jan. 27
At 8:24 a.m., an officer responded to the 1400 block of San Carlos Road regarding a theft from vehicle report. An investigation revealed the victim left her wallet and passport in an unlocked vehicle. The victim later discovered her stolen credit cards had been used without her permission. The investigation is ongoing.
At 2:43 p.m., an officer responded to T-Mobile, located at 101 E. Huntington Drive, regarding a commercial burglary investigation. The witness stated five suspects ran into the store, demanded iPhones, and fled northbound on First Avenue. The suspects are described as four black males and one white male. The investigation is ongoing.
Jan. 28
At 1:22 p.m., an officer investigated a fraud against an Arcadian resident. The victim stated she was expecting a new credit card in the mail but instead was notified of two fraudulent transactions to Nordstrom totaling a loss of $4,000. The investigation is ongoing.
Jan. 29
At 7:36 a.m., an officer responded to the 1000 block of Bungalow Place regarding a stolen vehicle report. Surveillance footage revealed a white mid-size SUV with tinted windows pulled up beside the victim’s vehicle at 10:30 p.m. on Jan. 28, and a short time later, both vehicles can be seen driving off together.
At 1:19 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 300 block of West Palm Drive regarding a burglary report. An investigation revealed unknown suspects shattered a side window, entered the residence, and fled with an unknown amount of property.
Jan. 30
At 2:18 a.m., an officer responded to the area of 400 W. Le Roy Ave. regarding a subject seen opening mailboxes. Upon arrival, the officer was unable to locate the suspect but observed mail on the ground and empty mailboxes in the area. The investigation is pending a review of surveillance footage.
At 12:10 p.m., an officer took a report of a catalytic converter theft that occurred near the 400 block of East Huntington Drive. The victim stated the part was stolen from her 2006 Honda Accord sometime between Jan. 4 at 8 a.m. and Jan 5 at 9 a.m. There are no investigative leads at this time.
